
Caribbean country Saint Kitts and Nevis is offering citizenship of the country on US$ 250,000 donation. One can make donation and get the citizenship within three months. Applicants don’t even need to touch the soil of the two-island country.
In its special report, Reuters says it could be an attractive offer as citizens of Saint Kitts and Nevis can travel more than hundred countries without visa. Those more-than-hundred countries include Canada and whole Europe. Besides that, it’s a naturally beautiful place, citizen don’t have to pay income tax and remote areas of the country as ‘safe haven’.

Most of countries in the world welcome rich foreigners and US$ 250,000 is good amount of money. But probably this offer is going to attract criminals a lot as well. Although there will be a background check of the applicants, but accuracy of background checks in whole world have been under question. So, we might see many countries ending the provision of travelling without visa for Saint Kitts and Nevis citizens in future.
Though, officially this offer is called ‘investment’. Applicant has to make donation to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation of the country to get the citizenship. A large number of counties in the world offer a way to citizenship via investment, but generally that’s not a guaranty to citizenship unlike the process in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Dominica, a country in the Caribbean Sea, also has similar citizenship process with lesser cost of US$ 75,000.
